Our Story

Glow Treat Hub began in 2015 as a small food blog created by Sarah Johnson, a passionate home cook with a background in nutrition. What started as a simple way to share family recipes with friends quickly grew into a thriving community of food enthusiasts.

Cooking together

By 2017, our team had expanded to include professional chefs, food photographers, and nutritionists. We moved from Sarah's home kitchen to a dedicated test kitchen studio where we could develop and photograph recipes in a controlled environment.

Today, Glow Treat Hub reaches over 2 million home cooks monthly with tested recipes, cooking tutorials, and meal planning resources. Our mission remains the same: to make cooking enjoyable, accessible, and rewarding for everyone, regardless of their skill level.

Our Kitchen

In 2020, we designed and built our dream test kitchen—a 1,200 square foot space equipped with multiple cooking stations, professional equipment, and photography setups. This allows us to develop and test recipes in conditions similar to home kitchens while capturing beautiful process and final shots.

Our test kitchen

Our kitchen features both gas and induction cooktops, conventional and convection ovens, and a wide variety of small appliances to ensure our recipes work regardless of your equipment. We test with common cookware and tools that home cooks are likely to have access to.

Recipe Development Process

Each Glow Treat Hub recipe goes through an extensive development process:

  • Ideation: Our team brainstorms recipe ideas based on seasonality, reader requests, and culinary trends.
  • Development: Recipes are created and tested multiple times, adjusting ingredients, techniques, and cooking times.
  • Testing: Each recipe is tested by team members with varying cooking experience to ensure clarity and reliability.
  • Nutrition Analysis: Where applicable, recipes are analyzed for nutritional content to provide accurate information.
  • Photography: We capture step-by-step photos and final dish images to help guide you through the recipe.
  • Publication: After final edits, recipes are published with detailed instructions, tips, and serving suggestions.
